REFLECTION

Experience

According to me this module is so far the most difficult one, cause ive always been more into illustration than typefaces or anything text related, especially the blogger and the workload, not to mention the pace of our work are very fast its sometimes hard to catch up, i went to several mental breakdowns in this module but i always remind myself to get through it, i find myself struggling with trying to finish the other modules assignment because Typography assignments are just never ending cause therea re so many things to do, but even after all that, the bright side is that this module helps me with paying attention to details, learning applications and the tools and i get to experience such workload

Observations

I've always been a more illustration type of person than doing typing, so i enjoyed doing Task 3, which is creating font, for the first and second task i find it difficult to do the assignment and to be honest, i didnt enjoy the first two task, however, i got a hang of it after a doing the assignment for a few times. and the most difficult part among all the assignments are the E-Portfolio, its not difficult i just feel like its very time-consuming, i find myself to be more drained to do E-Portfolio than the assignment. i always remind myself to finish the E-portfolio as early as possible, but i still find myself struggling with it, maybe ill get a hang of it sooner or later

Findings

Throughout the module i found out that Typography is just like Illustration, it is not just all about letters and typing, its also about a lot of details, such as composition, anatomy, and many more. you have to be detailed in typography and it the skills we got by paying attention to details can be applied to other works. consistency and readability is also important when it comes to typography, its not about the aesthetics and the looks, in typography i learned that even if the font looks good but if its bad in term of readability then it is not considered as a great font.
