When creating the pose for her "Drip Marketing" i was doing research on how other characters are usually drawn in their drip marketing, and i noticed all of them posed as how they were doing ult or doing their skills, but i also noticed some of them are not posing the same way as their ult like tartaglia for example, his drip marketing and his gacha art is different unlike others, most characters after inazuma tend to have the same design for their gacha art and their drip marketing art, so i decide to do the same.

Expressions

When i was doing the expressions i was thinking that maybe oh i should make the expressions the same as Klee, however i decided to change the expressions cause no matter what happens Pierkie will always smile, cause she is cursed to be always smiling, so i decided to change it up abit.

Afterwards im satisfied with the expression, this expression 2 will be the expressions she have before meeting the traveler. i wanted to go along with the story quest as the main character unlock more expressions for her and she can finally be not smiling for once anymore and cry for the first time with the hug of travelers and the other, i think it will add touching concept into the story quest.

Outfit Design

For outfit design i had to do some research on what skins are available already in the game and what are the concept , and mostly are related to seasonal events like spring, summer skin and so on, i realize most of them are related to events, so i think about all the events that are available in game, which is summer event, spring and so on. since there are limited events in the game i would like to create my own concept that could be related in the game, like fountaine for example, lets make a event related to the ball, or the rainy season or since Pierkie loves sleepover, maybe make a pajama theme skin.

After making the concept, i came wish summer clothes, "doll" clothes which is related with dress up met gala type of thing, pajama, and rainy season. i asked Ms.Anis told me shes interested with what i could come up with summer clothings so i started with just that.

As i start designing, i was like "hmm, summer clothes doesnt really translate well" like, its not really exciting for me so i decided yknow what i kinda like Met gala theme so i decide to pick an Ouji Fashion inspired design.

I decide to go for this Ouji outfit as reference, cause something about this type of outfit really screams the house of hearth orphanage fashion and its totally something pierkie would wear. as i design this outfit, i was thinking to relate it to a halloween event in genshin.

Weapon Design

for the weapon design i would like to go for toy hammer, i found alot of hammer design as reference. and sometimes i had a thought that maybe i should just give her a catalyst weapon but i like the thought of her carrying a toy hammer it just looks more cute.

From all the references i couldnt really decide what i like and i wasnt really the best in designing weapon either so i came up with this design and was satisfied with it immediately (lol). Unfortunately the brain juice was not juicing so i will for sure came up with better design as i progress in the final design and compilation of everything.

After squeezing all my brain power i had finally designed a weapon design for pierkie, i used Sigewinne's weapon as a reference as i drew this weapon.

Skill Design (VFX)

Ultimate : Pierkie will be a DPS 5-Star character, her ultimate will change her toy hammer into a bigger hammer, however if the player has no signature weapon the design will goes as the claymore turning into bigger claymore in the ult animation. After casting ult her basic attack will be infused with geo.

Normal Attacks : Her normal attacks would be just be her hitting the enemy with a toy hammer (Cute right hehe).

E Skills : Her E or Skill attack would be her throwing a surprise box that will take the enemy attention, and the box will exploded with surprise items once the player press E again. if the player does not press E, the Box will stays and traveler could use it as a box that you can stand on.

Final Presentation

Feedback

  • I should pick the summer theme cause it seems interesting and its also an existing concept in Genshin Impact. however since pierkie is a child i have to make sure to dress her carefully (which is obvious shes a baby)
  • The skin is cute enough since she's a small character it would be easier to decorate her. 
  • I should pick the third pose i drawn which is more dynamic and also relates to her ultimate.

Reflection 

  • This progression is honestly really fun and interesting, maybe im just really biased with this subject, thats why i love doing whatever that i have to do in this game (well except for the prop but!!! im sure my brain juice will be back soon lmao. i cant wait to finalize everything in the assignment. we learnt about posing, dynamic poses, doing some posing exercises, and i enjoyed all of the process we did.
